DRAKE AND FUTURE THE PRINCE SIGN FILM DEAL WITH FOREST HILL ENTERTAINMENT.

Drake continues to expand his empire outside of the rap arena. The Canadian rap star and his manager Future The Prince recently signed a deal with film producer Matthew Budman’s newly-launched Forest Hill Entertainment.
The news was broken by Deadline on Thursday (Jan. 24). According to the report, the duo have signed a first-look deal, which would in essence give Forest Hill the rights to produce any film content put out by the OVOers.
Budman, who has worked on films such as American Hustle and Zero Dark Thirty at his former gig at Annapurna, sounds excited to have Drake and FTP onboard.
“Drake and Future the Prince have been leading the way as artists in the music and fashion arena, and I’m honored to be collaborating with them as they continue to broaden their influence in the original content space,” said Budman.

Future echoed that sentiment. “Drake and I are thrilled to partner with our longtime friend at the inception of Forest Hill Entertainment, supporting Matthew and his team as they set new, unprecedented boundaries of groundbreaking content,” he said. “This partnership aligns strongly with our mission of developing and fostering emerging and preeminent talent across the entertainment landscape.”

Drake, a former actor himself, has had his hand in film over the years. In 2017, Netflix confirmed Drizzy was onboard to help produce a reboot of the London TV drama Top Boy for 2019.
