Olamide and Lil kesh defends controversial song; Logo Benz.

Olamide Adedeji, aka Baddo, is a great artiste.Many believe that he promotes social vices such as drug abuse, Internet fraud, rape, among other things.
His verse on Lil Kesh’s Logo Benz is highly irresponsible.

At a time when there have been increasing cases of female panties being stolen and used for ritual purposes, it is mortifying that Olamide could be so reckless to sing thus, “If money doesn’t enter, I will do blood money.” The chorus goes on to say, among other inanities, “Pull down you panties for them/Logo Benz.”
The singer took to his twitter page to defend the song, saying it is for the 3rd party to have a glimpse of the state of youths in Nigeria. He wrote;

Logo Benz is for the 3rd party to have a glimpse into the current state of youths in our society. (Runs girls x runs boys) “ I’m not sure if there’s anything like 2 much awareness, but pardon me if there is. It’s all over the news, it’s always been in movies, don’t box musicians.


The explanation did little to quell the negative reactions, as fans continued to point out that the lyrics of the song encourages ritual killings.

Lil Kesh on the other hand, defended promoting ‘yahoo-yahoo’ and ‘blood money’ via a comment on Instagram. He stated that they are not promoting what is not in existence. He wrote;

“If money no enter I go do blood money o, talk your own. We no dey promote wetin no dey exist na awareness we dey do so spread your pata at owner’s risk because won ka pata o”
